2026Fish Hatching Jar

Inexpensive hatching jar:

This "McDonald type" hatching jar can be used for the incubation of a wide variety of fish species. Made of high impact, easy to clean, transparent plastic (acryl), this uniquely designed hatching system enables uniformly distributed water to rotate fish eggs ever so gently and evenly. It works very simply as water from the water inlet tube is directed down to the open-ended tube in the center of the jar. The tube (diameter 2 cm) easily accommodates the preferred water flow so that the eggs at the base are rotated uniformly and precisely. The jar has a height of 45 cm, a diameter of 16 cm and with a volume of approx. 7 liter it accommodates up to 3 liter of eggs. It weighs only 1.6 kg. A circular mesh screen prevents eggs from spilling out of the jar, while the large spout (length 8.0 cm, width 5.5) at the top lets hatched fish swim out at just the right time.

New Handheld Multimeter:

Mobile MultimeterThis new, portable, multi-parameter handheld meter can simultaneously connect and manage up to 30 digital sensor modules in any combination via the digital sensor-bus (5-pin M12 connector) and Y-cable (multi-sensor adapter available as accessory). Measurement modules with sensors for optical oxygen, pH-value, redox-potential, conductivity and temperature are available. Additional modules, such as carbon-dioxide, turbidity, or chlorine, are under development and can be connected via the sensor-bus at a later date, after a software update. The integrated air-pressure sensor provides automatic air-pressure compensation for oxygen measurements (automatic temperature compensation is achieved via the conductivity sensor). The system automatically detects which sensors are connected and adjusts the user interface accordingly. The modern, ergonomic design of the housing (130 x 75 x 30 mm) made of black ABS with TPE impact protection (blue), a color touchscreen, and three buttons on the front glass make operation very easy. Thanks to its protection rating (device IP65, connector IP67) and protection class III, this robust system is ideally suited for use in harsh environments (transport case optional). Measurement data (up to 10,000 including time-stamps) can be stored at freely configurable intervals and then transferred directly to a PC, tablet, or smartphone via USB (8-pin M12 connector, USB data cable available as an accessory) or Bluetooth (optional) for further processing with common spreadsheet programs (e.g., MS Excel). The included high-capacity 1200 mAh lithium-ion battery with temperature monitoring guarantees extended, independent operation (operating time depends on the type and number of sensors and the energy-saving mode settings). The system can also operate continuously when powered by the included 3-pin M8 power supply.

PRO-MultimeterThese new and professional handheld meters have been developed with a wide range of functions, high robustness, and ease of use for safe and reliable water analysis. The robust housing (ABS, TEP, PES) measuring 170 x 78 x 38 mm (weight with batteries approx. 350-400 g, without sensors) and the protection (IP67 for the device, IP68 for the sensors) against water, dust, and impacts make them a perfect choice for field use. The integrated stand (with magnet) is useful for laboratory applications. They feature a large, backlit LCD display (140 x 160 dot matrix, visible area 42 x 50 mm), automatic temperature compensation, data logging, and a USB-C rechargeable battery system (4xAA batteries included). The automatic storage system (with manual start/stop allows recording at intervals of 1-30 seconds/minutes) to store up to 1 million data records (file system-based) in CSV-files (each data record contains a timestamp and measurement value). Most important criterion is the electric conductivity of the water (µS/cm), if you do not know it, just send us a water sample (approx. 0,3 l) and we will test it for free.

Professional electro-fisher:

Battery-powered Backcarry-ElectrofisherFor an easier catch of fishes in freshwater like smaller flowing or shallower standing waters (streams and ponds) to a depth of about 1-2 m and a conductivity up to 500 µS/cm (direct current) resp. 5.000 µS/cm (pulse current), this optimized and relatively strong electric fishing device is especially suitable, where the battery-pack is carried on a back-frame. Other than cheap electrofish devices (from the east) this device conforms to all EU regulations and is CE certified, build after IEC 60335 and save against short-circuits and over-loads (protection class II, art IP55). The compact lightweight control-box (energy consumption max. 15/20/25 A) is connected with two eyes in front of the back-frame (LxWxH 58x33x21 cm, weight approx. 5 kg), and has several knob-switches and control-lights (Use, Battery, Current, Overload) and a tilt-switch (45 degree) with acoustic signal for safety reasons. The outgoing voltage with pulse current can be adjusted in 4 stages from 300/400/500/600 Volt (optionally from 400/600/800/1000 Volt), also the pulse frequency from 10-100 pulses/second. With direct current, the outgoing power is fixed to 150 Volt, but as special order can also be adjusted in 4 stages from 150/175/200/250 Volt (optionally from 200/300/400/500 Volt), and switched (PC/DC) in the anode handle. The outgoing power is 250 Watt direct current (with fairly smoothed current and few ripples) resp. 5.000 or 10.000 Watt pulse current (with fast increase and exponential decrease) and is switchable. Pulse current (PC) allows catching fish also at lower and higher conductivities than direct current (DC). As battery-packs (12 V) are either heavier but cheaper lead-gel-batteries (stay and reach shorter times) or lighter but expensive lithium-iron-batteries (stay and reach longer times) available, each enclosed in the box of the backcarry-frame. Recommended are min. 2 battery-packs, so that the second one can be used and is fished with, when the first one is empty and must be charged. A battery-charger (12 V, 2 A) with control light is included in the delivery, as well as an extensive user manual. Electrode-sets (anodes and cathodes) are available in different arrangements, e. g.: anode-handles 2-3 m long with built-in deadman-switch and removable anode-rings from 30-40 cm Ø, as well as cathode-lengths of 3-4 m and special rubber cable in any length. Wireless scaling device:

Wireless fish scaling device

 This manual scaling device is especially suitable for simple removement of scales from smaller quantities of fishes. The compact device (approx. 30 cm in length and 5 cm in diameter) is made from plastic and stainless steel. The strong motor (12 V/DC, 7500 RPM) and the changeable scaling head allow fast and save working. The device is waterproof and can be cleaned easily. Because of rechargeable batteries (2000 mAh), the device can be used wireless, but can be connected to the electric network (110-220 V/AC) to recharge it.

New underwater lights:

 LED underwater lamp

This new underwater lamps with LED (Light Emitting Diode) are especially energy saving and have a long service life (approx. 30,000 hours). They are used successfully in both fresh- and seawater, either in the night to attract various aquatic organisms (like zooplankton or squid), or during the winter for the simulation of daylight (24 h/day) to delay maturation and increase growth (up to 10-30 %) in several fish species (like Salmon or Cod etc.). The professional lamps are available with different light colors: blue (approx. 40 lm/W), yellow (approx. 60 lm/W), green (approx. 80 lm/W), or white (approx. 100 lm/W = Lumens/Watt), whereby optimal to attract zooplankton (copepods, phyllopods) is blue light (around 450 nm), to attract squid, shrimp and fish in seawater is green light (around 500 nm), and to attract fish in freshwater is yellow light (around 600 nm). To simulate daylight, sometimes blue - but better white light is used, whereby blue light penetrates furthest in water but white light comes closest to the natural light spectrum and can be used for all or general purposes. The recommended power in white LED light (4,000-6,000 Kelvin) is about 1-2 Watt/m2 of the holding unit (tank or cage). The self-sinking and water-proof (IP68) lamps can be used for a water depth up to 10 m (1 bar) and a water temperature up to 30 °C. They are made from high quality plastic and stainless steel (AISI316), with LED's (SMD 3528) placed on 4 sides for a 360 degree lighting angle, which reaches up to 5 m (depending on water turbidity). This submersible lamps are delivered complete with a fixed cable (5 m) and are available for 12 V/DC with two crocodile clips. Simpler and cheaper LED underwater lights (10-70 Watt), on request. New holding-tank:

PE-holding tankThis isolated (PE) polyethylene tanks in blue color and cover are especially suitable for the economic holding of live fishes, crustacea or mollusca (like: crabs and lobsters or oysters and clams etc.) in fish or seafood restaurants, mongers, wholesalers etc. The compact units are delivered complete with integrated biological filter (calcareous seaweed) with pH-buffer effect below, and mechanical pre-filter, titanium-chiller (R134) with digital display and thermostat, recirculation system with pump, injectors, valves and PVC-pipes behind or on the side of the units. They are build for fresh and seawater, an electric connection of 230 V/50 Hz and a working temperature of 0-30 degree C. The electric consumption is about 0,5-1,0 kw/h, depending on model and temperatures. For mollusks, an UV-C lamp can optionally be integrated in the cover (+ EUR 500,- to 1.500,-). The 3 larger tanks (dimensions ±2 %) with equipment on the side (+ 60-70 cm long) are instead the cover, optionally available with a 50 cm high double-walled glass-aquaria (approx. 200 to 400 l) incl. protein skimmer (+ 10-12 cm high). Jet Aerator Pump (front)New water-aerator:

For the aeration of the water and the creation of currents in small ponds or large tanks we have now a Jet-Aerator-Pump new in our program. This compact aerator is available for an electric connection of 220-240 V/50 Hz and has a powerful motor (250 Watt) with a 2-bladed propeller, which allows for a relatively high water turnover of about 10 m3/h and an oxygen supply for up to 1000 kg of fishes. The aerator must be placed at the end on the wall of the tank or otherwise fixed and spreads the water in the front as a jet. It is delivered completely with U-shaped float made from black HD-PE, and protection grates made from stainless steel, incl. 8 m cable and plough. Price: EUR 390,- ex works, excl. VAT.

 

New electro-fisher:

Front control-box for back-pack electrofisherFor an easier catch of fishes in freshwater like smaller flowing or shallower standing waters (streams and ponds) to a depth of about 1 m and a conductivity up to 1.000 µS/cm (direct current) resp. 2.000 µS/cm (impulse current), this reduced/optimized and relatively cheap electric fishing device is especially suitable, as the battery -pack (24 V) is now carried in a back-pack. Other than cheaper electrofish devices (from the east) this new device conforms to the actual EU regulations and is also CE certified, build after IEC 60335 and save against short-circuits and over-loads. The small (LxWxH 14x10x16 cm) and (approx. 1,3 kg) light-weight control-box (energy consumption max. 30 A) is connected with two eyes in front of the back-pack and has a voltage control with acoustic signal and a tilt-switch for safety reasons. The outgoing voltage can be adjusted by 3 coarse- and 11 fine-tuners from 115-565 Volt (optionally from 90-500 Volt), also the impulse frequency from 20-200 impulses/second and the impulse time from 1-10 ms. The outgoing power is 650 Watt (direct current with well smoothed current) resp. 1200 Watt (impulse current with fast increase and exponential decrease) and is switchable. Direct current creates a better galvanotaxis (catchability) and a less damaged fishes (mortality) than impulse current. As battery-packs are either heavier but cheaper lead-gel-batteries (stay and reach shorter times) or lighter but expensive lithium-iron-batteries (stay and reach longer times) available, each enclosed in a splash-proof casing with cable and plough. Recommended are min. 2 battery-packs, so that the second one can be used and is fished with, when the first one is empty and must be charged. A battery-charger (24 V, 1 A) with automatic regulator is included in the delivery and can be used for both battery types (lead-gel and lithium-iron). Also delivered is a box for transport.
