Inexpensive hatching jar:

This "McDonald type" hatching jar can be used for the incubation of a wide variety of fish species. Made of high impact, easy to clean, transparent plastic (acryl), this uniquely designed hatching system enables uniformly distributed water to rotate fish eggs ever so gently and evenly. It works very simply as water from the water inlet tube is directed down to the open-ended tube in the center of the jar. The tube (diameter 2 cm) easily accommodates the preferred water flow so that the eggs at the base are rotated uniformly and precisely. The jar has a height of 45 cm, a diameter of 16 cm and with a volume of approx. 7 liter it accommodates up to 3 liter of eggs. It weighs only 1.6 kg. A circular mesh screen prevents eggs from spilling out of the jar, while the large spout (length 8.0 cm, width 5.5) at the top lets hatched fish swim out at just the right time.

Most important criterion is the electric conductivity of the water (µS/cm), if you do not know it, just send us a water sample (approx. 0,3 l) and we will test it for free.

Professional electro-fisher:

For an easier catch of fishes in freshwater like smaller flowing or shallower standing waters (streams and ponds) to a depth of about 1-2 m and a conductivity up to 500 µS/cm (direct current) resp. 5.000 µS/cm (pulse current), this optimized and relatively strong electric fishing device is especially suitable, where the battery-pack is carried on a back-frame. Other than cheap electrofish devices (from the east) this device conforms to all EU regulations and is CE certified, build after IEC 60335 and save against short-circuits and over-loads (protection class II, art IP55). The compact lightweight control-box (energy consumption max. 15/20/25 A) is connected with two eyes in front of the back-frame (LxWxH 58x33x21 cm, weight approx. 5 kg), and has several knob-switches and control-lights (Use, Battery, Current, Overload) and a tilt-switch (45 degree) with acoustic signal for safety reasons. The outgoing voltage with pulse current can be adjusted in 4 stages from 300/400/500/600 Volt (optionally from 400/600/800/1000 Volt), also the pulse frequency from 10-100 pulses/second. With direct current, the outgoing power is fixed to 150 Volt, but as special order can also be adjusted in 4 stages from 150/175/200/250 Volt (optionally from 200/300/400/500 Volt), and switched (PC/DC) in the anode handle. The outgoing power is 250 Watt direct current (with fairly smoothed current and few ripples) resp. 5.000 or 10.000 Watt pulse current (with fast increase and exponential decrease) and is switchable. Pulse current (PC) allows catching fish also at lower and higher conductivities than direct current (DC). As battery-packs (12 V) are either heavier but cheaper lead-gel-batteries (stay and reach shorter times) or lighter but expensive lithium-iron-batteries (stay and reach longer times) available, each enclosed in the box of the backcarry-frame. Recommended are min. 2 battery-packs, so that the second one can be used and is fished with, when the first one is empty and must be charged. A battery-charger (12 V, 2 A) with control light is included in the delivery, as well as an extensive user manual. Electrode-sets (anodes and cathodes) are available in different arrangements, e. g.: anode-handles 2-3 m long with built-in deadman-switch and removable anode-rings from 30-40 cm Ø, as well as cathode-lengths of 3-4 m and special rubber cable in any length. Wireless scaling device:

This manual scaling device is especially suitable for simple removement of scales from smaller quantities of fishes. The compact device (approx. 30 cm in length and 5 cm in diameter) is made from plastic and stainless steel. The strong motor (12 V/DC, 7500 RPM) and the changeable scaling head allow fast and save working. The device is waterproof and can be cleaned easily. Because of rechargeable batteries (2000 mAh), the device can be used wireless, but can be connected to the electric network (110-220 V/AC) to recharge it.

New underwater lights:

This new underwater lamps with LED (Light Emitting Diode) are especially energy saving and have a long service life (approx. 30,000 hours). They are used successfully in both fresh- and seawater, either in the night to attract various aquatic organisms (like zooplankton or squid), or during the winter for the simulation of daylight (24 h/day) to delay maturation and increase growth (up to 10-30 %) in several fish species (like Salmon or Cod etc.). The professional lamps are available with different light colors: blue (approx. 40 lm/W), yellow (approx. 60 lm/W), green (approx. 80 lm/W), or white (approx. 100 lm/W = Lumens/Watt), whereby optimal to attract zooplankton (copepods, phyllopods) is blue light (around 450 nm), to attract squid, shrimp and fish in seawater is green light (around 500 nm), and to attract fish in freshwater is yellow light (around 600 nm). To simulate daylight, sometimes blue - but better white light is used, whereby blue light penetrates furthest in water but white light comes closest to the natural light spectrum and can be used for all or general purposes. The recommended power in white LED light (4,000-6,000 Kelvin) is about 1-2 Watt/m2 of the holding unit (tank or cage). The self-sinking and water-proof (IP68) lamps can be used for a water depth up to 10 m (1 bar) and a water temperature up to 30 °C. They are made from high quality plastic and stainless steel (AISI316), with LED's (SMD 3528) placed on 4 sides for a 360 degree lighting angle, which reaches up to 5 m (depending on water turbidity). This submersible lamps are delivered complete with a fixed cable (5 m) and are available for 12 V/DC with two crocodile clips. Simpler and cheaper LED underwater lights (10-70 Watt), on request. Other than cheaper electrofish devices (from the east) this new device conforms to the actual EU regulations and is also CE certified, build after IEC 60335 and save against short-circuits and over-loads. The small (LxWxH 14x10x16 cm) and (approx. 1,3 kg) light-weight control-box (energy consumption max. 30 A) is connected with two eyes in front of the back-pack and has a voltage control with acoustic signal and a tilt-switch for safety reasons. The outgoing voltage can be adjusted by 3 coarse- and 11 fine-tuners from 115-565 Volt (optionally from 90-500 Volt), also the impulse frequency from 20-200 impulses/second and the impulse time from 1-10 ms.
